Chris brings to the table deep expertise in strengthening and scaling nonprofits and mission-oriented organizations — with a particular focus on facilitation, leadership development, and strategic planning.
In his roles as executive, entrepreneur, consultant and eLearning expert, Chris has spent the last 30 years successfully guiding and growing organizations, developing leaders and teams, and building individual brands.
Chris’s consulting practice focuses on assisting organizations with strategic planning, leadership development and executive coaching, team building, facilitating key/difficult organizational decisions, and eLearning programming. A sample of his strategy and facilitation clients include: Pledge 1%, Pachamama Alliance, Center for Care Innovations, The Bay Area Council, Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute (Google), Sounds True, San Francisco Zen Center, Evolving Wisdom (where he also served as interim CMO and CDO as part of his consultancy), MaestroConference, The ManKind Project, Wild Planet Adventures, Meridian University, and TRE for All.
Chris is also the founder of Launch Academy, an eLearning training platform to help people create, market and launch online courses and programs to a global audience. Prior to joining Impact Giving Advisors, Chris was Director of Client Partnerships and a partner at RightNow Consulting where he worked with clients across North America to assist them in executing specific business growth strategies primarily focusing on building, training and managing sales teams.
Earlier in his career Chris spent over 12 years in the travel industry: serving as COO and VP of Sales of Grand Expeditions where he helped grow revenue from zero to $120 million in 3 years; and President and owner of Nature Expeditions International, a global ecotourism company, where he grew revenue 400% in 6 years.
Chris also spent 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry where he worked for Allergan Pharmaceuticals (Fortune #380) and Boehringer Mannheim Pharmaceuticals. He worked in product marketing, international business development and outside sales during his time with these two companies.
Chris is a seasoned group facilitator, and an invited motivational speaker for a variety of events including national conferences, corporate rallies and business meetings. He is also passionate about his volunteer work with The ManKind Project where he has served on the national board for many years. He also serves as a director on the Board of MaestroConference.
Chris graduated from Stanford University where he studied Political Science and Economics; and has a Masters in Nature-Based Leadership from Prescott College. He is an avid hiker, cyclist, scuba diver, and intrepid traveler with 46 countries under his belt. He lives with his wife in Northern California.
